What's a good tripod to use for a Nikon dSLR?

Gorillapods are a fun gimmick but not really a serious tripod. Get a sturdy one, preferably from a good brand. Even a decent no-name tripod will set you back $75 at least. A cheap tripod is more likely to fail when you need it or worse, fall over easily with your camera on it.
