Where to stay in Jamaica?

My husband and I want to go to Jamaica mid June. We are not big into the club scene but we like more of the outdoorsy stuff ( like we wanna go see Dunns River Falls and that type of stuff) We want a pretty beach plus a nice resort/or hotel/or cottage. We wanna try to keep it under 2000.00. Were is the best hotel to stay at?
