Crackling noise in throat when i breath in and out?

ive noticed this in the past couple of weeks even my wife asks me why she hears my breathing crackling, the last past week ive woken up with a dry nose, dry boogers with blood i know it sounds sick. past health issues- GERD, can that be the problem.. or sinuses? i made an appt with the doc..last time he checked he didnt hear anything in my chest or lungs. thanks
